Early Access Release of DCS: Spitfire LF Mk. IX
Today we are proud to bring you the Early Access Spitfire LF Mk. IX! Many pilots that have flown several World War II warbirds remark that the Spitfire was their favorite, based on its exceptional maneuverability, easy of flight, and stunning looks. We think that you will agree!

You can purchase the Spitfire from our e-Shop

The British Spitfire is one of the most iconic fighter aircraft of World War II. Most famous for its role in the Battle of Britain, the Spitfire served as Britain’s primary fighter during the entirety of the war. The Spitfire combines graceful lines, eye-watering dogfight performance, and heavy firepower in its later variants. For DCS World, we are happy to bring you the most accurate and realistic simulation of the Spitfire LF Mk. IX ever created.

The Spitfire LF Mk. IX was originally developed as a stopgap measure as a response to the appearance of the Focke-Wulf FW 190A.

Screenshots

The Spitfire LF Mk. IX is powered by the Merlin 66. This engine produces its best performance at slightly lower altitudes than the older Merlin 61. Spitfires equipped with this engine were designated LF Mk. IX. This was the most numerous version of the Mk. IX, with 4,010 produced. The majority of Mk. IXs of all types used the standard “c” wing, which would often carry two 20mm cannon and four .303in machine guns.

Note: To coincide with the Early Access release of the Spitfire, we are also releasing Update 3 to DCS World 1.5.5.

Weekend Bundle Deals
The Spitfire LF Mk. IX most shines when played with the other aircraft of our World War II stable of aircraft. Starting today at 1500 GMT and lasting until 19 December at 0900, get the P-51D, Fw 190, and Bf 109 as a bundle for 50% off! A huge savings!

The Museum Relic Campaign News
Due to popular demand, we are removing the requirement that both DCS: F-86F Sabre and DCS: MiG-15bis must be purchased in order to play this campaign. We are changing this requirement such that only one of these aircraft modules must be purchased to play this campaign.

We’re ready to let everyone know when you will be able to hop into your trucks and start exploring the roads of beautiful France!

“Vive La France !” map expansion for Euro Truck Simulator 2 is going to be released December 5, 2016. To be more specific, we are aiming at 4 pm Prague time (GMT+1) on Monday, that’s when the activation keys should be enabled and the DLC will be ready for download and purchase.

We are going to price it the same as Scandinavia map add-on on the channels that are under our control (like Steam – here is the “Vive la France !” coming soon page). There may be small price and timing differences on local markets, in retail, or at places like Amazon, where we do not have the power to enforce strict pricing policy.

Everything is happening very quickly, we were still not sure about the final date a week ago, as we have been thoroughly testing and polishing the DLC pretty much until today. Now we want to give you a chance to play the expanded game as soon as possible. A week of preparations is sufficient to arrange the release on digital channels, but our retail publishing partners will be struggling with manufacturing deadlines, so some sales channels may take longer to stock the add-on.

DiRT Rally logo

Hello all! At just gone 11am today, we released a patch for DiRT Rally. Here’s a rundown of the patch notes:

  • Performance when Weather is set to Low should improve
  • Leagues will now use a set of stock engineers. The option to use Career Engineers as an option will be going live on the website later today.
  • There are various tweaks and fixes for the audio in Sweden.
  • Rallycross tracks have been allocated more memory, to prevent cases where they forget to load.

New content coming to DiRT Rally!

Great news! We’re delighted to be able to confirm that there will be additional content coming to DiRT Rally on April 5th, 2016. To showcase this content we’ve put together a brand new trailer – which you can take a look at now at http://www.dirtgame.com.

In addition to the content we’ve added during DiRT Rally’s Steam Early Access programme, you’ll now be able to enjoy some pretty substantial new additions to the game when April arrives. New Classic Mini and Super 1600 series will introduce the thrills of rallycross from the beginning of the game, and we’ve added 21 advanced rally driving video guides which will help gamers maximise their rallying performance.

For the first time in the game, you’ll also be able to experience the vintage full gravel surface at Pikes Peak – and for the first time, you’ll be able to do in the iconic Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak. Not only this, but three of Colin McRae’s most iconic liveries will join his Focus livery – allowing you to relive the exploits of a legendary rally champion and icon of motorsport. We’ve been waiting a long time to be able to bring you the Impreza livery – and the iconic yellow and blue design is now back at its spiritual home with DiRT Rally.

The DiRT team have also added seven extra cars, including some huge (and most-requested) fan favourites. The vehicles in question are…

– Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak
– Renault 5 Turbo
– Renault Alpine A110
– Opel Corsa Super 1600
– Peugeot 207 S1600
– Renault Clio S1600
– Mini Classic Rallycross

DiRT Rally is available now on Steam, and this exciting additional content will be powersliding onto players’ desktops on April 5th 2016. Check out our launch video and our original post[blog.codemasters.com] for some high quality pictures and video of these new cars in action!

As ever, please stop by the Steam Community Hub, the forums, our Facebook page or on Twitter to let us know what you think of this new content.

And remember – if in doubt, flat-out!
