Hello Hunters,

We hope you are well. Today we’re excited to introduce Patch 1.7 featuring the first ever shooting range in theHunter: Call of the Wild!

Get a feeling for all weapons, practice your aim, investigate the ballistics in detail without using up ammunition or challenge your friends to a shoot-off to crown the best shot. The shooting range is located in Rathenfeldt, offering target distances from 50 to to 500 meters. You can find more detailed information about the shooting range here.

We hope you enjoy the shooting range, and look forward to your feedback and shooting scores!

This patch also features a couple of bug fixes that you have been requesting, and we aim to deliver more of those shortly. You can find the full list at the end of this post. The announced adjustments and compensation for Tents & Groundblinds are still being worked on and will be released soon. We will make a dedicated announcement about it once we’re ready.

  • Unused redeemables will remain on the server if you delete your character, but only UNUSED redeemables. Please be careful with them.
  • Game has 3 servers
    • PVE
    • PVP EU – with restricted port battle timers
    • PVP Global – no restrictions on port battle timers
Changes provided in the last couple of days to testbed
    • New regional refits blueprints and skill books have been added

    • Coal was repositioned to provide more goals in conquest
    • UI bugs were found and mostly fixed
    • Random teleport bug has been logged and we are working on the solution, please report random teleports when they happen
    • PVE server has conversion store (allowing conversion of pve marks into pvp and conquest marks)
    • PvP server has conversion store switched off – but it might come back in the future in some form.
    • Trader ships BPs were added to admiralty stores.

      • Nation has 3 Port battles allowed instead of 2
      • Port battle starts in 22 hours after hostility reach 100% not in 46 as before
      • War supplies can now only be delivered to the regional capitals (not every port)
    Patch changes:
    • Combat model updated. Structure introduced. Ship now receives structural leaks when structure goes down (not when armor is destroyed like before). Structure affects leaks and masts integrity (you will be able to demast by bow and stern raking).
    • Port battle entry is only allowed 30 mins after login at sea. This penalty can be dropped if you enter any port. If you log off at sea and login within 5 mins (disconnects etc) you don’t get that penalty
    • Zone control points are not accumulated during first 10 mins of the port battle, zones cannot be captured during first 10 mins of the port battle.
    • New sounds system is implemented. Crew responds to your actions and intensity of combat.
    • All ships now have 1 durabilities with the corresponding change of required resources.
    • You can now use the hold of your fleet ships. New perks are introduced for fleet management
    • Admiralty store has been added. The following rewards were added (names are temporary and might not survive)
      • PVP marks – for high end frigates permits and skillbooks
      • PVE marks – for certain ships, skillbooks, resources and some other items
      • Conquest marks – for port battles and permits for lineships
      • Trading Manifest – reserved for potential future use.
      • Each reward can be used for exclusive content in admiralty stores.
      • PvP/PvE rewards are given in the end of battle based on battle kills and damage. If 10 people sink 1 ship rewards are split for 10 people based on damage, kills and assists.
      • Conquest rewards are given for victorious port battles for attackers or defenders and only if they inflicted damage on enemy ships or infrastructure (forts and towers).
    • Officers. Officers had one problem, they punished you if you played actively (and sank a lot). As a result officers were removed from the game and all perks have been moved to a player. You get 1 point per rank. Officers in their traditional sense might come back in the future.
    • Perk reset cost introduced – to reset your character perks you have to pay 50 PVE marks.
    • Pirate vs Pirate – outlaw battles. Pirates can now attack each other. The battle created by pirates vs pirates is always open and has FFA rules (free for all). You can sink anyone you see. Signalling perk does not work in the battle. Battle cannot be created in the capital protected waters. Outlaw battles do not give rewards.
    • Recently killed tracker added to game. Players who recently lost the battle (sank or surrendered) no longer give rewards for 1 hour. This solves a number of problems with pvp rewards farming
    • Ship paints can now be stored in clan warehouses.
    • Chain shot damage fall off from distance implemented and added to game.
    • Removal of current upgrade system and ship quality level. Tiered ship knowledge is implemented. (Details)
    • Repairs changed. Repairs now can be crafted and carried in the hold. You can use your fleet to carry more repairs. Cooldown is implemented on repairs. The number of how many times you can repair in battles depends on your hold size. You can capture repairs from enemies
    • Hold management in instances added, hold management for fleets is revamped. You can now use holds of your fleet in battles and capture hold from boarded/sinking enemies.
    • Bot routes and npc fleet composition significantly improved.
    • Guns are now sold in units and can be crafted.
    • Rookie zones removed. Rookie capitals are added back to respective regions. (Details)
    • Assign crew functionality in instances updated and somewhat improved.
    • Resource transport between free towns removed
    • Ship transport between outposts removed
    • Teleport to freetown removed.
    • Outpost to outpost transport is now only available between national towns.
    • Tow to capital replaced by tow to port – which sends you to the nearest deep water port – this is done to allow players living in distant areas from the capital to have unstuck that does not send them across the map (forcing them to sail back).
    • Certain changes are done for trading resources production limits. Expensive trading resources are no longer produced up to 25000 items providing infinite money making opportunities (e.g. textile machinery)
    • Shipyard is added back and is a required building for ship crafting
    • Lineships blueprints are now available in the admiralty. Lineships require permits to construct
    • Gifted perk removed
    • Ship blueprints no longer drop when crafting as there is no more RNG in crafting. Blueprints are immediately unlocked based on your crafting level or can be bought for marks from the admiralty.
    • Antigriefing is now based on curve – not on fixed number (old number 5x). The paramteter changes based on the amount of ships in the pull zone. If you want to attack a large organized fleet you will have to have a lot of ships too. Solo line ship can be attacked by a very small force.
    • Minimal crew thresholds for all vessels are now 70% of max ship crew (only checked in port) – you still can use under crewed ships in battles though. This requirements is not valid for trading vessels.
    • Hold load now affects speed and acceleration both in the Open world and in the battle instances. Cannons affect hold load as well. .
    • Contracts on cannons can be placed in stores.
    • Medkit was replaced by RUM. Surgeon now needs rum to fix sailors (or cut them). Medkit blueprint eliminated.
    • Battle result screen removed. Can stay up to 15 minutes inside the battle after it is over.
    • Player exiting battle spawns in the open world.
    • If you alt-f4 in battle you will be sent to the OW after battle
    • If you exit the battle and do nothing – normal disconnect mechanics will apply.
    • You can now loot hold from sinking ships if you are near the sinking enemy vessel.
    • NPC Ship capture on the PVP server
      • From now on All NPC ships cannot be captured on the PVP server. You can still take their hold and loot but you cannot switch to an NPC ship anymore.
      • PVE Server: NPC ships will be capturable on the PVE server with no restrictions.
      • PVP Server: On PVP server you will only be able to capture ships from players. Player fleet ships are considered pvp ships and can be captured
      • This fix also change closes final loopholes on pvp marks farming and provides guaranteed market to shipbuilders
    • Alliances tab disabled temporarily until alliance rework
    • Shipbuilding overhaul. Governors of regions announced a monopoly on all woods except for oak, fir and lignum. Imported resources (like teak) will only be available in the regions that imported them historically. Other woods will only be sold by NPC traders in the region. ( Details[forum.game-labs.net] )
      • New planking trims added to game. Redundant trims removed
      • New wood types added to game
    • Invisibility added when exiting battles under following conditions
      • Both Sides will receive 1 min invisibility on exit.
      • You cannot be attacked or attack during invisibility.
      • Invisibility persists even if you die and spawn in port (lets say Free town)
    • Cannons can now be stored in the warehouse
      Tunings:
          • Map zoom increased 2x in commander tablet
          • Port battle time increased to 105 mins
          • Accuracy and damage from land based guns increased by 15%
          • Points for kills increased by 50% in port battles instances
          • Attack circle timer (ow attack) reduced from 20 seconds to 15 seconds
          • If you sink in battle you will still be able to see the compass and wind indicator
          • Brace command is now a toggle
          • All contracts that are more than 15 days long are going to be automatically cancelled from now on.
          • All instances are now immediately closing when last player leaves the instance. A good % of instances were wasted for bot vs bot entertainment
          • Forts and towers were significantly buffed (large fort will destroy a ship in approximately 5 minutes under constant fire). We hope this feature will help players to vary their fleets a bit and bring mortar vessels to battles (who can destroy a fort in 10 mins. If this damage is too big we will lower it, but we were not really satisfied with the forts uselessness in battles).
          • Military NPCs now sometimes drop repairs as loot
          • Sugar added to many regions as resource – for rum production
          • Boarding preparation growth increased
          • Perk points are given to player faster – you will get 10 perk points 2x earlier.
          • Crew requirement lowered on 4lb,6lb and 12lb carronades
          • Tow to nearest deep water port do not check the hold weight any more
          • Redwood logs abandoned; blueprints using redwood now use lignum vitae.
          • Pine is merged with Fir and is now Fir from today. Pine logs abandoned, blueprints have changed
          • Fire damage is increased by 25%
          • Split function is improved
          • Bow figureheads rebalanced slightly (some bow figureheads might get abandoned though based on the historians feedback)
          • Fixed Rattlesnake figurehead bonuses bugs
          • Added a tooltip to cannon crafting blueprint
          • Port crew recruitment is now 68 per crew member. You will have to use rum at sea. 1 rum recovers 1 crew.
          • PVP content in the admiralty store rebalanced.
            • PVE server will have different prices and mark conversion options
          • Fleet and fort kills are properly counted to your fleet if you did the most damage
          • Added a button to sink a ship during cargo transfer interface (to receive kills and assists)
          • When instance ends all hulls with white flags left in instance are sank and give rewards to players who were supposed to receive kills for them
          • Recently killed flag is not given if you were sank by NPC
          • Certain tuning is done for Carpenter and Steel toolbox (bonuses reduced)
          • Repair cooldown increased from 10 mins to 15 mins (might get reverted back as we want to promote more aggressive combat)
          • Minimal crew requirement lowered on all traders
          • Victorious port battle defenders now properly receive conquest marks. To receive conquest marks you have to damage any enemy ship (any ship even one ship) above a certain threshold. Empty port battles will not give conquest marks. Conquest mark distribution. 3 for lineship ports, 2 for frigate ports, 1 for shallow ports.
          • It now takes some time to destroy stacks of resources in your cargo. This will allow privateers to get some cargo if they tag the trader in time. You can only destroy one stack in 25 seconds
          • Copper mine building removed, copper removed from all blueprints.
          • Ship blueprints updated and now require provisions. Ships in general became more expensive to make (especially higher level vessels)
          • Changed NPC production limits on certain resources
          • Port battles now properly allow PB battle points for recently killed captains (including pvp marks)
          • Wood planking splinter crew resistance now properly affects crew damage
          • Skillbooks tooltip now properly show if you know it or not
          • Fixed bugs appearing during redeeming of the Yacht
          • Recently killed status is not given if you surrender to fix the denial of marks exploit when players would surrender en masse before large battles to deny marks
          • Missions now only accept ships of the mission level and below. You can no longer do low level missions in 1st rates. This opens up more possibilities to create better and more challenging PVE content.
          • Nation change item added to the game. We will provide it for mass testing this week.
          • Free crew of 40 has returned the game to fix issues where a player can get stuck without money not allowing him to buy crew even for the basic cutter.
          • Fixed bug causing your knowledge level to work on a ship captured from you
          • Ship knowledge skills now work on your fleet ships
          • Food supplies added to certain regions allowing the construction of the Farm

Elite Dangerous logo

Greetings commanders,

Today we begin a special beta for the 2.2 series. This beta will last into the new year and is focused around balance passes and game changes. As previously mentioned, the vast majority of these updates for 2.2.03 are targeted towards the following subjects…

  • Powerplay and its associated AI along with mechanical changes of how Powerplay functions.
  • Engineers update: Extensive balancing tweaks and changes to promote a larger variety of recipes to use. Many additional changes are designed to smooth out the combat related blueprints.
  • General Combat Balancing: We hear you. We’ve begun the process of changing existing weapon meta to enable a far greater choice in how you, the commander, can outfit your ships for combat.

While not an exhaustive list above, we’ve included a full list of changes below. Below are the starting changes for the 2.2.03 beta; they are not final changes. We’ll post further updates to patch notes in the 2.2.03 beta feedback forum due to the focused nature of this update series.

Additionally, if you are using the standalone version of the Elite Dangerous Launcher, you can find the latest version of it here: http://hosting.zaonce.net/elite/Client-Installer.exe If you’re not using Steam to launch Elite Dangerous, you’ll need to be using the latest and greatest of our game patcher client!

2.2.03 Change Log

Stability Fixes

  • Fix for a crash when dropping from orbit at Eafots LZ-H b10-0 D 1
  • Crash fix for a rare case when hyperspacing out of a system that turns into an invalid state en route
  • Fix for outfitting crash when receiving a web response without a ship loadout in it
  • Fix a crash in the PlayerPOISpawner if the closest planet in the planet surface manager hasn’t been found yet
  • Softlock loading in to a persistent POI in multiplayer situation fixed
  • Xbox One: Fixed low level cockpit GUI crash

General Tweaks/Fixes

  • Allow a mini USS bubble around Colonia
  • Fix transaction server error when clearing a save that had lots of exploration data
  • Reboot-repair now Bump-starts shields when it completes, reducing downtime waiting for them to return. Could also be used in other cases when the player is willing to accept the risk of being idle and defenceless for the duration to focus power on their shields
  • Shield restore from Reboot/Repair now requires you to be near stationary or it will fail (to prevent in-combat overuse), 50m/s threshold
  • If saving or autosaving while in supercruise, move the player well clear of star Jet Cones. You shouldn’t ever reload back in after a hyperspace failure stuck in the cones anymore. Note that if you save/log out while in normal space, you will still be in the cone on your return, this safety check can’t be used to escape once you’ve already made a mistake, it’s just covering for failures that aren’t the player’s fault
  • Added a warning message when a non-flown ship is being scanned
  • Fixed “Ship scan detected” warning not always appearing
  • Fix for NPC voice volume slider not working in the audio options
  • Wings matchmaking improvements
  • Allow Reload time in Outfitting to be shown to the nearest 1 decimal place rather than rounded to whole seconds
  • Added some system metadata for the five starsystems holding refuelling bases between the Sol bubble and Colonia
  • Crew rank does not update on the contacts or ship GUI after ranking up fixed
  • Fixed missing cyrillic glyphs in module and systems panel
  • Avoid tinting weapon impacts on environmental surfaces
  • Fix for the POIs getting stuck loading due to the ReplicatedLevelContainer not activating its advance phase
  • Allow Reload time in Outfitting to be shown to the nearest 1 decimal place rather than rounded to whole seconds
  • Don’t clear legal state after a cargo scan! This will make the cockpit “Wanted” warning vanish!
  • Warning message now appears when player scans fighter or mothership with Kill warrant or Manifest scanner
  • Fixed a rare cause of triggering the ship rebuy screen when docking an SRV at a planet base
  • Fixed outfitting with multiple purchases of bobbleheads
  • Xbox One: Don’t show nameless scoreboard entries. If we have data for a player without a name, then don’t add it to the score summary
  • Xbox One: Where we have axis bindings, unhide the +/
  • button bindings so they can be rebound. Also make all flight control axes invertible
  • Xbox One: Don’t handle a protocol activation if we’re resetting or disconnecting. This means if we accept one while suspended, we won’t process it until we’ve gone through a full reset and reconnected, at which point we should be able to safely join the session

Passengers

  • Added passenger seating allocation to allow passengers to be assigned outside of mission board

Missions

  • Added a new mission type for investigating the ancient ruins
  • Make supply to demand overrides take max distance into account (Stops Colonia making missions which intend to only go 500ly into missions to pop back to the bubble with a ~24 time limit)
  • Reduce number of missions sent to clients as we’re only sending relevant missions now
  • Increased maximum mission duration to 28 days
  • Fix elite rank point calculations from missions so that they are a % of any mission profit earned

Weapons

  • Link Gimbal weapon tracking to the sensitivity of ship sensors. Does not affect CQC/Fighters/Non-main-ships
  • Rather than permanently disabling guidance on torpedoes, it now scrambles them for a short time (randomly between 2 and 8 seconds), after which they will re-acquire a lock and turn back in to engage
  • Emissive Munitions duration reduced to 30% of what it was, and capped much shorter for missiles
  • Emissive Munitions Scale reduced vastly, it will still guarantee visibility but no longer maxes out gimbal tracking at all ranges
  • Feedback Cascade no longer provides a fixed 90% reduction to healing, instead each hit reduces the healing rate by an amount proportional to damage capped at -90% as before. Exact number of hits to reach the cap varies based on size of weapon and shield cell, but will typically be 2-3 (requiring either high skill or multiple railguns) and up to 5 for smaller weapons against size 8 cell banks
  • Fixed multicannon Clips increased to 100 (from 90)
  • Fixed/gimbal multicannon reload times adjusted for consistency (generally buffed), fixed are now 4s, gimballed 5s (from an inconsistent 4s/5s mix)
  • Fixed cannon clip size increased to 6 (from 5)
  • Fixed cannon reload time reduced to 3 (from 4)
  • Fixed cannon ammo reserve size increased to 120 (from 100)
  • All fixed pulse/burst/beam weapons have 10% reduced WEP drain
  • Gimbal/Turret cannon damage increased by 15%
  • Fixed cannon damage increased by 25%
  • Plasma Accelerator reload times reuced to 6s (from 8)
  • Plasma Accelerator damage increased by 10%
  • Plasma Accelerators now deal Absolute damage
  • Reactor power draw for beams reduced 10%
  • WEP draw of burst lasers reduced by 15% (on top of fixed weapons as mentioned earlier)
  • Slugshot Armour piercing reduced to 15/25/35 for Small/Med/Large (from 20/35/52)
  • Slugshot reload time reduced to 2.5s (from 5s)
  • Slugshot ammo reserve doubled (to 180 from 90)
  • When scaling Weapon Range up in an engineered recipe , we now display that the projectile speed has increased
  • When scaling Weapon Range down in an engineered recipe, we no longer scale down the Damage Falloff start, nor the projectile speed
  • Clip size modifications now always round the clip up to avoid overly punishing small-clip weapons, and the modifier is not shown if it will have no effect
  • Increase damage buff for Short Range to 45% (+5%) so that it is competitive with Overcharged and Rapid fire for raw damage, but with different tradeoffs

Powerplay

  • Powerplay consolidation feature added
  • Powerplay assassins removed
  • Powerplay pirates no longer spawn in exploited systems
  • Powerplay pirates must align with an opposing superpower to that of the controlling power
  • When a crime worthy of an authority response is committed between two ships (NPC or player) who are each pledged to a power, effectively reduce the security level of the system for the purposes of considering strength of response and delay
  • Power security and pirate ships must now scan for powerplay vouchers, to check for powerplay cargo, and concerning which powers will get involved based on the player’s power
    • Power Security NPCs attack ships of opposing powers (different major faction) if they are locally wanted, they have powerplay vouchers issued by the controlling power of the system, or are carrying any powerplay commodity relevant to the controlling power of the system. They can not be appeased with cargo drops
    • PowersPirate NPCs attack ships of the same power as the controlling power of the system if they are wanted, carrying any powerplay vouchers, or carrying any powerplay cargo (any power). They can be appeased by cargo drops as long as the attack was due to cargo, not bounty or vouchers
    • Ships not meeting these criteria will be left alone, even if pledged to a power
  • New chatter lines added to support changed behavious
  • Ensure PowersSecurity ships are given an FSD interdictor by the auto-loadout system
  • Updating the balance on AI ambient power play ships, as well as tweaking some of Famine and Outbreak AI ships
  • When Opposing Control or Undermining a hostile power, vouchers will only be issued when destroying NPC ships from the defending power
  • Cargo used for Opposing Control or Undermining a friendly power will now only count for 1 merit when delivered
  • Voting for logistics consolidation becomes available at Rank 2 after supporting a power for 4 weeks. The number of votes increases to 5 after supporting a power for 16 weeks
  • Replaced the 18 second threaten timer on PowersSecurity ships with a 2 second one (they appeared to be broken right after scanning, which was undesirable behaviour). Also adjusted standard Bounty Hunter AI to be the same

Engineers

  • Auto loader improved and ammo penalty removed
  • Concordant sequence regeneration amount doubled and lasts twice as long
  • Dispersal field damage penalty removed
  • Overload Munitions ammo capacity penalty removed
  • Smart rounds flight time penalty removed

  • Automatically update modified modules to the latest version of the recipe

NPCs

  • Fixed firing on fighters launched from already scanned ships counting as a crime
  • Don’t spawn more escorts each time we transfer authority to a new authority
  • Tweaks to make NPCs less effective against silent running

New events, crafting changes and other things!

What’s new:

Crafting changes: Fine woods removed from the game until further notice. Fine woods are no longer required for ship crafting and no longer drop during tree growth. NPC buyers have been instructed to buy fine woods at good prices if players decide to sell their acquired stocks.

As a compensation for all the struggles with fine wood two uncrafteable ships were added to redeemables to all players across all servers.

PvE events – run daily

  • Time challenge – destroy 2 enemy ships in shortest possible time.
  • Kill challenge – destroy as many enemy ships in 30 mins. (Boarding does not count) – every kill grants +1 repair for the player.
  • Events are provided for testing. Initial ship for all events is Cerberus. In the forthcoming hotfixes and patches we will add variety to ships, enemies and challenges (demasting, boarding, etc).

PvP events – run 3 times a day.

  • 3 PvP events per day added (one shallow waters one deep waters) that will spawn in 2 fixed locations on the map.
  • Deep water – Hispaniola channel (closest FT La Tortue and La Navasse)
  • Shallow water – Bahamas sand bank (closest FT Shroud Cay and Cayo Romano)
Other changes
  • Ships can now be sent from outpost to outpost (tow request). Sent ships will be delivered during maintenance. Please be wary when sending ships into contested ports.
  • War supplies can only raise hostility to 50% and not more to remove the risk of hostility bombs
  • Social perk returns reformed as Signaling perk. Signaling allows entry to the battle until the battle rating of both sides is somewhat equal.
  • Coward perk was removed
  • Brace command added for testing. Brace reduces incoming crew damage significantly and acts as a crew shock locking some of the on deck activity (repairs, reloads). It allows only yard turning as those crew on sails/yards are immune to deck damage.
Fixed bugs:
  • Fixed rare bug with group list disappearing from the screen
  • Fixed bug with incorrect BR calculations for several NPC ships in fleets
  • Fixed bug that allowed spawn of same characteristics for NPC captured ships creating double bonuses
  • Several critical exploits fixed thanks to the player Qw569
Tunings:
  • Duel room distance increased to 1km
  • Cannonball splinter damage somewhat lowered again
  • Max possible grape damage slightly increased
  • Hostility points adjusted and now depend on ship class. Port hostility points requirements adjusted as well. Approximate numbers = 1st rates 700 pts/unrated 100 pts.

Port battles entry zones algorithms and capture points placement still requires work and will be deployed in a hot fix within next week or two.

Hi all,

The PC version is about to go live on Steam, and with that, here are the full release notes. Enjoy

Project CARS – PC Patch 6.0 – Release notes

Online
* NEW – Host kick function. The host of an online game can now select to immediately kick a player from the server. Kicked players will be auto-kicked if they attempt to rejoin the same multiplayer session.
* NEW – Mandatory pit stop option. The Lobby admin can opt to force a single pitstop during any race.
* NEW – Option to set race length by time (also available in Quick Race).
* NEW – ‘Allow Ghosted Vehicles’ option added so that the lobby admin can decide if he wants vehicles ghosted or not when they drive the wrong way.
* NEW – Dynamic race-end timer feature. In public races, the timer is 50% of the slowest moving car’s lap time. In private races, the timer is 75% of slowest moving car’s lap time.
* Fixed an exploit where a player could be awarded a win by jumping the start.
* Fixed an issue where, if the host is forcing realistic driving assists, the player wasn’t able to toggle the allowed assists on or off while in-race.
* Fixed a game crash issue if the client is kicked while typing in the chat box.
* Fixed an issue where, if Forced Default Setup is used, the pit crew would not change tyres until they’re completely worn. The tyres will now be changed when at least one tyre is worn down by 25% or more.

Career
* Fixed a bug where drivers in a simulated series can all end up with ‘INVALID NAME!’
* Fixed a bug where AI opponents would attempt to use DLC cars that are not installed.
* The player will no longer be offered a contract renewal for a DLC contract, if they’ve since uninstalled that DLC.
* DLC Career contract emails earned while a DLC was installed, are no longer shown if DLC is then uninstalled.
* If the player’s current contract is a DLC contract and the player uninstalls this DLC, the career season using this DLC contract will finish for the player when entering Dashboard and they will have to pick from valid contract offers to continue (or reinstall the uninstalled DLC).
* Fixed an issue where the Modified Cars Pack and Limited Edition DLC Invitationals and Accolades were visible for players who do not own these DLC packs. Entering these invitational events would cause the player and AI to be in non-matching vehicles.
* Fixed an issue where at times the pit crew wouldn’t change the tyre set to the one selected in pit-strategy.

Controls
* Fixed an issue where remapping KERS would stop it working.
* Fixed an issue where changes made to Gamepad Advanced Options were not saved.
* Added Thrustmaster T150 support.

Tracks
* Zolder – fixed a potential ‘landmine’ issue.
* Le Mans – adjusted the 55th garage spot to correct an issue where the cars would hit the pit wall on exiting this spot.
* Donington – all layouts – fixed an issue where cars would make contact with the left side wall when exiting some garages.
* Road America – pre-race camera tweaked to prevent the camera from clipping with the ground.
* Ruapuna Park – all layouts – fixed an issue with the last garage spot being outside garage area.
* Mojave – all layouts – fixed an issue with floating tyre skid marks, fixed an issue with rain being visible inside tunnels, and placed visible barriers in areas where the player is not allowed to drive.

Vehicles
* Bentley Continental GT3 – fixed DLC livery windscreen banners.
* Ruf CTR3 SMS-R – increased default tire pressure to work better with tire warmers.
* Toyota GT86 Rocket Bunny – fixed an issue with the windscreen banner.

Physics & AI
* AI – improved awareness and look-ahead to help with situations in multi-class races, where AI in a fast car would fail to avoid the player and AI in much slower cars.
* Tyre updates – fixed an issue on several tyres to prevent FFB buzz when tread becomes worn very thin, re-calibrated most tyres for a carcass heating fix when the tyres are underinflated, adjusted wear rates on GT3, Group C, Trans-Am/GTO, DTM, and LMP rubber.
* Implemented support to remove detached wheels from the track after a certain amount of time.

GUI & HUD
* Vehicle selection – manufacturer page now orders icons alphabetically.
* Improved the French translations for some of the items in the vehicle setup screens.
* Minor updates to Career Dashboard – motorsports & DN Profile buttons are now tiles consistent with other tabs, Inbox is now full screen with clearer indication of highlighted mail, and initial Accept Contract Offer screen now has improved layout and clearer indication of signature button.

* Fixed an issue where the UI stops responding on ghost selection when player enters the My Garage option.

General
* Fixed an issue during pit stops where the pit crew mistakes ratio was too high.
* Driver name tags above cars can now be turned on for replays.
* Entering the pits during a Time Trial will now invalidate that lap’s time.
* Improved Helmet view exposure for historic drivers.

Oculus Rift
This update is primarily to improve the HUD position/rotation/scaling editor and the custom VR settings system.
* All movement and rotation is now relative to the HUD’s local axis instead of world axis.
* The HUD controls are now all located on the numeric keypad. Toggling between position and rotation modes are done by pressing the NUM-0 key.
* HUD movement speeds are now reduced and we added controls for slow scale control. The movement speed will now also accelerate if you press and hold a key, limited to maximum 10x speed.
* The movement amount per click of the HUD editing controls for placement and rotation are now scaled when you scale the HUD size up or down. This helps a lot as it gives much finer controls when positioning/rotating while the HUD is scaled down.
* Changes to the HUD position/rotation/scale will now only be saved when you confirm to save the edited HUD settings; otherwise it restores the previous settings.

New and improved Oculus HUD movement keys layout

The HUD adjustment now runs in one of two modes – movement and rotation / scale. Num-Pad 0 toggles between these modes.

In movement mode the controls are as follows (numpad)
4 & 6: move left and right
1 & 3: move left and right slowly
8 & 2: move up and down
7 & 9: move up and down slowly
+ & -: move back and forth
/ & *: move back and forth slowly
5: resets position to the default

In rotation / scale mode the controls are as follows (numpad)
4 & 6: rotate left and right
8 & 2: rotate up and down
1 & 3: rotate anti-clockwise / clockwise
+ & -: scale the HUD bigger and smaller
/ & *: scale the HUD bigger and smaller slowly
5: resets rotation and scale to the default

Custom VR settings system
This file is located in your ‘My Documents\Project CARS’ folder, and is called ‘oculussettings.xml’
There are entries to control the position, rotation and scale for each of the following:
* HUD (HUDSettings)
* Main Menus (FrontEndSettings)
* In-game Menus (InGameSettings)
The format for each is identical and the data can be copied between them. While we currently only allow you to edit the HUD in-game using the system documented above, you can freely copy the saved values to the entries for the front-end and in-game menus settings, and these will then also appear at the repositioned placement/rotation/scale settings.
FYI – the rotation part is a quaternion, if anyone wants to try and make sense of it (the names are intuitive, offsetX offsetY, offsetZ, scale, and rotation[WXYZ]).
The other 3 entries are:
* FullScreen – sets the full screen mirror mode. Default is ‘true’. Set to ‘false’ to disable full screen mirror mode.
* HideCrowds – used to hide crowds (performance gain). Default is ‘true’. Set to ‘false’ to enable crowds again.
* LimitCars – not yet used, future addition

pCARS logo 1

Online
* Enforce fixed (default) setups – fixed cases where enabling this would still allow players to use custom setups. Enabled the player’s custom controller settings to still be used when using fixed setups.
* Mojave layouts – fixed an issue where, if the host were disqualified, it would force end-of-race for everyone.
* Fixed an issue with tyre choices being ignored during pit stops.

Physics & AI
* Improved AI behaviour in pit lanes to further reduce cars hitting the pit walls when driving out of the garages.
* Fixed an issue where cars under AI control would struggle to drive correctly on tracks with high banking.
* Fixed an issue where some car parts that were dislodged during a collision would not be removed when the track is cleared.

Career
* Fixed an issue where the maximum amount of contract and invitation emails could be exceeded with DLC installed, resulting in the player not being notified of newly unlocked contract offers and invitational events.

Controls
* Fixed a bug on the splash screen where the controller used to press the A Button to start was not selected as the current controller.
* Logitech G29/G920 – updated default controller map sets for the layouts to be consistent between wheels and across platforms.

* Removed default assignments for wipers and lights, as this was disabling the wipers/lights turning on automatically when it started raining or got dark.

Tracks

Vehicles
* Aston Martin Vantage GTE – tweaked cockpit exposure to work better with rainy conditions.

* Aston Martin DBR1 1959 – fixed an issue where the wrong helmet was displayed when using Helmet View, tweaked inertia and roll stiffness to improve collision behaviour.
* Audi 90 IMSA GTO, Audi R8 V10 plus, Ruf Rt 12R – fixed an issue where the KERS bar would appear on the HUD of these cars, even though they don’t have KERS.

ETS logo

At last, we are releasing a new update to ETS2! Lots of fixes and improvements, and a new patch application which should hopefully make the updating procedure a lot smoother.

It may be a good idea for you to back-up your player profile (look for it in Documents > Euro Truck Simulator 2), especially if you are using mods which may have compatibility problems with this update. This way you would have a fall-back option to temporarily revert to a previous version in case of problems.

SDK: How to use redirects to download custom maps (Modders)
– Publish your custom map using the publish button in the editor. This will ‘cook’ twice because the server needs a different version.
– Grab the files from Published/CookedPCServer/ and give those to your server admins. Remember to clearly label these as server files.
– Grab the files from Published/CookedPC/ and give those to your server admins clearly labelled as client files. You must rename the published map files from .roe to .upk.

SDK: How to use redirects to download custom maps (Server Admins)
– Place the server content into ROGame/CookedPCServer
– Place the client content, removing any sub directories, at an http address. If the client content contains any .roe map they must be renamed to .upk.
– Add the following to ROEngine.ini:

[IpDrv.HTTPDownload]
RedirectToURL=http://pathtoyourredirect/

– Clients will now automatically download the custom content when connecting to your server

New Features
Servers can now work with user-made map labels in their scripts.
When a user creates a new map label, server receives the following event
OnUserCreateUserLabel(GPUserLabel ul)
Or, when a label is deleted,
OnUserDeleteUserLabel(GPUserLabel ul)
GPUserLabel – label type, where Point2d pos ;
Player Player ;
string Text ;
double time ;
int type;

Available Label Types :
GPUserIconType
Waypoint,
Plane,
AAGun,
Ship,
Factory,
Tank,
Car,
Label

You can also create your own label with
GamePlay.gpMakeUserLabel(p, GamePlay.gpPlayer(), actor.Name(), GamePlay.gpTimeofDay(), (int)GPUserIconType.Plane)
The server can send a label to the players with:
gpDrawUserLabel(world.GPUserLabel ul); // all players on the server
gpDrawUserLabel(int army, world.GPUserLabel ul); all players in int army
gpDrawUserLabel(Player[] to, world.GPUserLabel ul); only the players in the Player[] to list
The labels can also be deleted correspondingly:
gpDeleteUserLabel(world.GPUserLabel ul);
gpDeleteUserLabel(Player[] to, world.GPUserLabel ul);
gpDeleteUserLabel(int army, world.GPUserLabel ul);

FM
Conducted a huge amount of work correcting and improving aircraft flight models as well as most engine models. All work was based on historical flight test data or flight manuals (Sean, what would we do without you!). Unfortunately our flight model does not allow us to perfectly replicate test results at all ranges of altitude. At altitudes above 8000 m (26,000 ft) most aircraft begin to perform worse than their historical counterparts. Addressing this discrepancy requires a large additional amount of work, and will therefore be done in a future release.
Changes in this patch include:

  • Various minor changes and corrections to all aircraft.
  • Added Hurricane MkI and Spitfire MkI with constant-speed propellers and 100-octane fuel.
  • Corrected the Merlin engine model.
  • Added pitot heat controls to Spitfires.
  • G.50

Fixed engine heat balance that had previously prevented listed HP from being available at all altitudes.
Added +100 boost that can only be used in emergency mode.

  • BR-20

Decreased never-exceed airspeed.

  • Spitfire Mk.IIa

Corrected (decreased) airspeeds at all altitudes to bring performance down to historical levels.

  • Spitfire Mk.Ia

Corrected (increased) airspeeds at altitudes above 6K m.

  • Hurricane Mk.Ia

Corrected (decreased) airspeeds at all altitudes alongside Spit II.

  • Blenheim Mk.IV

Corrected the engine model.
Corrected altitude performance.
Decreased never-exceed airspeed.
Corrected engine modes at all altitudes (RPM, boost, fuel flow, etc).
Implemented smooth flap control.
Changed the airscrew to two-speed.
Corrected empennage values that created too much interference during take-off.
Affixed springs to bomb bay doors.

  • He-111 и Ju-88

Corrected radio compass animations.

  • Bf-109

Corrected cockpit animations for trimmer and flap chains.
Corrected flap model
Corrected the flap sounds
Corrected the pitot heat light.

Other flight model and engine changes.

  • Corrected negative G cut-out for carburetor engines. The effect will be noticeable at around +0.1G.
  • Corrected the mixture control level on Hurricanes and Spitfires. It is now push forward for Lean, pull back for Rich. With that, moving the throttle lever to idle will return the lever to Rich.
  • Corrected (increased) low-altitude speeds for most Brutish fighters (Spitfire MkI with DH and Rotol aircrews, Hurricane MkI with DH and Rotol aircrews).
  • Corrected Bf-109 rudder behavior.
  • Corrected fuel flow calculations for most aircraft.
  • Corrected throttle control. The entire range is now useful.
  • Corrected overspeed sound. It will now steadily increase in volume depending on airspeed.
  • Added a Su-26 acrobatics plane.

You can toggle airshow smoke by injecting oil into the exhaust manifold. This is done with the WEP button by default. The default smoke is white. You can select other colors by selecting corresponding loadout options.

The plane also comes with four easter egg weapons that can be loaded onto the center pylon:

  • Shotgun – fires explosive pellets with everyone’ sfavorite green tracers;
  • Laser – fires a beam that sets an enemy plane alight. Effective distance is 700m;
  • Antimatter mortar – fires anti-matter spitwads;
  • Railgun – fires a shell that generates electromagnetic pulse that in turn destroys enemy subsystems, especially engines.

NOTE: Our artificial intelligence simply could not manage the pure awesomeness of this plane. If you try to create doom flights of railgun-armed Su-26s the AI will most likely just crash.
The Su-26 is a special type of a recon plane in the game, so other AI aircraft will mostly ignore it in missions.
